Hello again! It's thaaaaat time of the year again, as WotlK is about to hit! Undoubtly some people will go MIA, some will come back, yada yada yada! So in order to avoid last minute recruitment issues we decided to get a 'little' ahead of what's usual and start taking applications. As of now, you may send us your application for review on either our own application forum, or through a forum message to either myself, Mirime, Nagash or Ending (Winnertako). For any doubt, feel free to whisper any of us in-game. <blatent copy paste> Cutting to the chase, this is what w'ere looking for and what we'll expect from you as an applicant - Portuguese speaking players, able to communicate clearly on Teamspeak. - Active players able to keep HIGH raid attendances (We raid Sunday-Thursday 21h-01 PT time at least). - Skilled and eager players willing to bang their heads for countless hours learning new encounters, using consumables, giving their best and having the maturity to understand what's involved. - Experienced players raiding-wise is a big plus, be it old naxxramas or sunwell plateau. </blatent copy paste> |

Yeah, it's true. Some of you may have noticed, some of you might not. If you haven't, here's a little hint: Still didn't get it? Damn you're slow! Well, i'll make it short. We, Corruption, one of the oldest guilds on this server (alongside Balance and a few others) are sadly saying goodbye to Grim Batol. It's been a fun ride. Really. Having achieved quite a few Horde firsts I would say our progress is fairly respectable for a portuguese only guild, it sure as hell didn't go unnoticed. Unfortunately, it wasn't the only thing to go unnoticed. As stated on one of my news post, the summer was devastating for us progress-wise and once again, it sure as hell was notorious. But we prevailed and step-by-step are making our way through (hopefully) the top again. We're aiming high, and our will is over the edge. Therefore, to start with we're migrating to Burning Steppes, a server based in France where we have better gaming conditions, and i mean ping-wise, queue-wise and SPAM-wise. This, however, came at a high cost for some. I'll start by stating the obvious - big changes are never easy for anyone. And the decision to migrate was not taken lightly, meaning this was certainly no exception. In fact, it was fairly chaotic up to some point. The initial shock was hard to overcome for some players, as inevitably some friends of the guild said their guilds were staying behind on Grim Batol, much to most of our members dismay. With so little time left to make a call, this posed as a huge problem for us. We debated the issue internally and oh-shit it was no easy task. Things looked strange as a twist of emotion ran rampant throughout the debate but in the end, we've managed to settle things and reach our final decision: migrating. So to all of you, Thank you. Thank you because the decision you've all made was probably the hardest you've had to make in this lil' mmorpg called WoW. I'm truly proud. With this being said, It's with great sadness that we leave Grim Batol and our fellow portuguese guilds behind, Archangel, Ressurection, Chain-Reaction and the list goes on. I wish you the best of luck in the upcoming expansion, and great sucess! To end my very own rant, I'd like to say: stay tuned! stay tuned as we (hopefully) bring wreck and havok throughout WotlK in our new home, Burning Steppes! On a personal note, I'd like to say lots of love for Steino, Clouds and Slugslinger! <3 Lots of love, Sw |

Kil'jaeden down - Sunwell cleared |

Since my last Wall-of-Text critted you all for over 9000 damage, i'll keep it short this time. One full night of attempts -> Kil'jaeden dead. Well, I suppose the essence of the fight is still the same as before, but the hp nerf made it so much easier. We only had to deal with one darkness of a thousand soul cast in each phase (except on the last one), so Fire Blooms weren't much of a problem really and a couple of tries were enough for people to learn how to get-the-fuck-out of meteors. Oh and reflections hp are a joke too. So again, Kil'jaeden was silenced and the available content has been cleared :) Bring WotlK on, bitches! :: Killshot :: WowWebStats :: Loot - [Helm of Burning Righteousness] - Belore - [Golden Staff of the Sin'dorei] - Kabralho - [Crown of Dath'Remar] - Sw - [Coif of Alleria] - Psyched |

It's been a great, great while. It's been 3 months and 16 days, to be accurate. And why? Well, bloody summer holidays laid on us yet another almost-lethal setback, and it couldn't be more overwhelming; from the same old core members quitting (and we're not talking about just one or two, but the great majority of them) to a complete renewal of guild management. And once again, we've struggled. We've struggled hard. The process of recruiting and gearing up players was back in motion, thus throwing every single chance we had of progressing in sunwell into the sand. In fact, the summer hit us so hard this time that we could barely raid sunwell at all. We did get back on our feet eventually, and much thanks to the PvE->PvP server migration allowance, we've managed to recruit great players to cope with our needs. Step-by-step we've made our comeback in Sunwell and manage to reach twins, once again, but to no good - it was too late. It was too late for us to get un-nerfed kills on M'uru and maybe Kil'jaeden that is. The reason for this was of course, the recently released patch 3.0.2. The announced nerfs were -30% hp and a whole lot less physical damage on every single thing that moved in pos-TBC raiding content. Letting alone the insane dps increase in almost every class in game. With that being said, on the 17 of August (yes, since it was impossible to raid on the day the patch was released, with one billion people queue to join Grim Batol + faulty addons + overall lag and instance crash) we set foot in sunwell. The nerf on mobs hp was notorious, as we torn apart every trash mob on our way to meet Kalecgos. Some people were joyed with their new abilities and damage capabilities and theeeen there were Warlocks. But moving on. We reached Kalecgos and our 3rd tank disconnects, getting thrown back all the way into the back of the queue. We're talking 40 mins plus, so eventually we decide to give it a shot with just 2. A display of horror ensued as Kalecgos had 30% hp left by the time the first portal arose. Brutallus. (Brut-wait-what?) A complete joke. I began to felt ashamed as i called out the usual stomp timers, as the lack of it in an ordinary day would probably mean distracted healers, therefore, a dead tank. Now, you can ask someone to bandage you instead. RIP Brutallus, you used to be awesome. We moved onto Felmyst. Not much to say, finally having the nerf in mind, we just steamrolled him. Period. Next in line, Eredar twins. After a brief introduction on Conflags, minding everyone that this is still the one ability they have to look out for, well.. No shocker here, we still managed to wipe a couple of times because of it (that meant, the whole TWO times she casted it before we killed sacrolash, someone managed to fail at it, what are the odds! :D) But we did bring the lesbians down without much hassle after that. Finally, with about one hour left to raid, we reach M'uru. I could tell the few people that had been trying him before the summer were curious to see how much he's been nerf and well, I suppose it's safe to say it's a disappointment. M'uru was a well tuned and perfect encounter. A dps race to shred the adds to pieces and a perfect transition was needed for a somewhat swift Entropius kill. Well, not anymore. Within 5 tries, we managed to kill M'uru/Entropius and that was pretty much it. First phase is a joke and Entropius himself isn't much more than a pain in the ass now. Nevertheless, a first kill is a first kill so congratulations to everyone involved. :: Killshot :: WowWebStats :: Loot - [Shifting Naaru Sliver] - Ulvah - [Warharness of Reckless Fury] - Piriwalker - [Robes of Faltered Light] - Mirime - [Sin'dorei Pendant of Conquest] - Belore (awesome loot) |

Eredar Girl on Girl down! |

w00t! It's been a while! After a great start at Sunwell Plateau, where we competed neck to neck for the first kills on Kalecgos, Brutallus (reaching a server 2nd for the first time!) and Felmyst, Corruption faced - yet another - worrying halt, where a lot of hardcore raiders lost interest on the game, or simply decided to stop raiding due to various reasons (considering our 1st Kalecgos kill, only 9 out of those 25 raiders are still active), along side a huge structural change on leadership issues, we finally got back on track! The Eredar Girl on Girl Twins show kept us busy for a while, but we took it down after a few serious night of attempts and constant tweaking on the setup! We decided on the reverse kill order, facing the extreme raid damage we have to deal with, which was the first sign of trouble for us, since we had a lot of issues with resto shamans (while deciding to stack up to 4 on the event). We lost quite a few fully equiped resto shamans over the past weeks\months, so we had to quickly equip new ones to face the challenge, which took a while. Anyway, after such task was accomplished, it was time to fully focus on the event, and after a couple of serious night of attempts, tweaking the setup, healing assignments, group setups, what was left was the easy task of executing the fight in proper conditions, while hoping a shadowfury wouldn't mess us up! Last night we had the perfect setup for the fight, no absences to ruin our possibilities, everyone fully buffed and ready to go, so, it was all a matter of having our eyes open and executing it properly. After two warming up tries, one really chaotic, and the other one that really seemed promising, but someone decided to blow our asses up!, we were ready for the kill, and eager for it! The following try was just amazing. Everything under control, awsome dps taking down the first twin, raid heal managing to keep everyone topped at all times, it all just went as smooth as possible (unlike all the other promising tries where something always messed up!) without anyone blowing the raid to smitherens! w00t! The transition to the 2nd phase was good, and with around 3m to spare, it was just a matter of nuking the crap out of her, while Ulvah just swirled around the raid like a pole dancer trying to reset his debuffs! I bet he felt some pressure there :P. After a bit, we had the 2nd twin down while we still had 30secs left on the enrage timer, which was quite surprising as we usually survived 30s AFTER the enrage timer with her at 15-25%'s! With this, we accomplished our newest 1st kill on about 2 months of what was a long and stressfull transition period. Once again, we bounced back! Congratulations to everyone involved! :) :: Killshot + Loot :: WowWebStats :: Loot - [Boots of the Forgotten Conqueror] - Oldtrick - [Shawl of Wonderment] - Kabralho - [Book of Highborne Hymns] - Talakir - [Grip of Mannoroth] - Yoggie - [Shoulderpads of Vehemence] - Gotm - [Sin'dorei Pendant of Triumph] - Sunwind M'uru is the next in line to face Corruption's wrath, but with summer at our doors, progress raids might have some issues, but you'll be hearing a lot more from us very soon with our infamous Gold Runs coming up, with new and improved destinations! :) As for me, i'm off in a few days for my summer vacations, so this will be my last post here for a while! Good work on the Eredar Twins guys, even with so many replacements and recruiting, aslong as everyone here plays their best, and is truly motivated to accomplish 1st kills, success will always stay toe to toe with Corruption, so, keep it up! :) Good summer everyone! |

After struggling on him for one full day of attempts, we managed to down Brutallus in the last few seconds available. It was not as hard as everyone said he was, only very very demanding on your DPS. But, fortunately for us, Corruption has always had a great DPS! :: Bigger Screenshot :: WowWebStats :: Movie Grats to the lucky looters: -[Leggings of Calamity] - GSA -[Belt of the Forgotten Conqueror] - Nekor -[Belt of the Forgotten Vanquisher]x2 - Neoakira & BlarghhFelmyst, here we go. |

Finally after almost 5 months of farming the same mindnumbingly maddening content over and over again, patch 2.4 has arrived and with it new challenges that will (hopefully) entertain us for a while !
And soon after the patch arrived, Corruption is already making progress! Even though we had already faced Kalecgos in the PTR (for a mere 2 days - thanks blizzard!), it still took us some time to finally slay the demon within Kalecgos, making it Horde 1st and Server 3rd. :: Bigger Screenshot :: Movie Also gtz looters: [Band of Lucent Beams] - Shark [Bracers of the Forgotten Vanquisher] - Gotm [Bracers of the Forgotten Protector] - Frackles [Bracers of the Forgotten Conqueror] - Mind
